Edgecliffe Viaduct: Edgecliffe to Kings Cross: Cab view

This is getting unbearable now......... same old story...... same old view.......

Location: Australia, Sydney's Rail Network. Eastern Suburbs Line.

This shows the driver's view departing Edgecliffe station heading towards Kings Cross. Going along the viaduct, the suburbs of Paddington is on the left and on the right is Rushcutters' Bay, a beautiful place..... but the driver has to keep looking straight ahead along the pair of glaring rails........ trying to keep the eyes open with matchsticks.

@irlange Well, they're certainly not going to be travelling from Bankstown to Cronulla Beach any time soon...

@lewko1 Agreed. It would be horribly crowded and a recipe for disorderly behaviour by night. Although a station at Bondi Beach would be good. I think that a line should be built along the northern beaches first and then to Maroubra via Bondi Beach, Coogee etc. This way there is a mucher wider choice of easy to reach beach destinations. However, even then I could see Bondi Beach still being the beach of choice.

it's a pity this line did not go all the way to Bondi Beach as promised in 2002.
