hey .. gayatri mantra was not written by anyone.. and it is not old of 2500 or 3500 years... it has it's own existence..can u tell how much this universe is old?? in geeta lord krishna says that in all of the mantras I am the gayatri mantra. . by meditating more and more for years and years for gayatri mantra you will realize what is gayatri mantra exactly..Om shanti..
