81歲的畢菲特身穿深色運動衫坐在一個房間內，坐在椅上，用夏威夷四弦琴，背後擺放一大副鐵路模型，自彈自唱英文兒歌《I have been Working on the Railroad》，他在演唱後，用普通話說"謝謝"。節目監制王久平說，網絡春晚是一個開放平台，只要喜歡音樂的人都可以來，畢菲特是音樂愛好者，世界名人對中國人民新­春佳節表達祝福，這只是策劃中的重要部分，說明網絡無界，中國屬於世界，世界在看中國，畢菲特對中國人的友好情誼不能忘懷。
