  • Pretty cool that they were a reality, at least until Emperor Septimus Severus banned women gladiators, he considered it poor taste.

  • Gladiatrix by Russell Whitfield (Paperback - Mar 18, 2008) - yes its a great book. I praised it with 5/5 stars as did my friend Donna Gillespie (The Light Bearer fame = another great novel featuring a gladiatrix).

Russells work is much appreciated. All hail Lysandra the Spartan.

  • @LovelyMe93 Well it's only normal..after all average Svedish city is larger, yet cleaner than most of the local cities here...and by the name of the city i'd say it couldbe translate as" Hell's Hill"(could be problematic,if you a zealot;-),don't you think? ;-)...Reminds me abit on a Hellsmouth in Sunnydale(from Buffy the Vampire Slayer)...Maybe i'm mistaking, who knows?;-D As for the elf's i believe that in original it was written as "aelfs"...

  • @dernhelmrs , From Helsingborg. It's really nice. :)

Oh, I have no idea. xd

  • @LovelyMe93 Yeah, dear i know that you're from Sweden(i love that country-wonderfull and full of snow-not to mention gorgeous tall blond and red hed woman's)soso what's the town's name?I means since you "just"move in...after 9 month(really new moving;-)And,btw,on Serb,"vile" are same as faeries in english or elf's in Norse(i believe that word elf is Norse in origin, right?)

  • @dernhelmrs , I haven't old you about were I live. I live in Sweden, the south. it's really beuatiful and fun here, I just moved to a new town (well, it's been 9 months since we moved in here). ;)

  • @LovelyMe93 Short ,and sweet...i like it :-D

  • @dernhelmrs , yeah.

  • @LovelyMe93 I see that you agree with me ;-D

  • @dernhelmrs , mmh. ;)

  • @LovelyMe93 Yeah...i know you liked that(altough it's strange for a Sloven to speak in a Norse terminology-we have Perun,and vile,but vile aren't Perun's daughters,but lover godesse's of nature in Old Slaven Pantheon)...

  • @dernhelmrs , Okey. :)
