I own a ps3 and an xbox. Have to say the xbox wins on online and games and the ps3 wins on pretty much everything else but at the end of the day I bought a GAMES console, I want to have the best experience playing a game and playing online with my friends, I never really wanted and still dont want a blu-ray player or built in internet browser.
For that reason i find myself playing my 360 a lot more than ps3 and enjoy it a lot more too.

Plus the 1080p. 7.1 IS big, personally I can't even afford a surround system but having one plus having that option IS big.
"all about the games" every person has his own preferences, if a person couldn't care less a 'bout halo and or darksiders or any other game and would like games like ratchet and clank or little big planet (notice the pattern of little children?) I don't see why he should get the xbox, but if a person wants quality multiplay than there the xbox wins.

PS3 > 360. 360 IS ALREADY DEAD. NATAL WILL BE AN EPIC FAIL. ITS A GOOD CONCEPT BUT IF MICROSOFT CANT GET A CONSOLE RIGHT I DOUBT NATAL WILL BE ABLE TO MAKE SOMETHING FOR A CONSOLE THAT IS TECHNOLOGICALLY LIMITED COMPARED TO THE PS3.

Actually I do use it all the time because bluray reads the disks dumbass. But 360 reads the hd dvd disk. We all know blu ray is better than hd dvd your just in denial. Blu ray is better. EVERYONE KNOWS IT. HD DVD IS THE POOR MANS BLU RAY. BLU RAY WON THE WAR ALREADY IF U DIDNT KNOW. PS3 > 3SHITTY. THE PS3 WON so ID BLU RAY.
