This 5 minute film documents the experience of 5 British teenagers from a Gloucester school who travelled to India to support the work of Save the Children UK. In Rajasthan, they spent a week living, learning and making friends with Indian girls of the same age on a girls education project in India. It is estimated that only 40% of Indian girls go to secondary/ high school. This Save the Children project visited by the British girls supports girls of secondary school age to access education. The students from Stroud High were winners of the 2005 national Giving Nation award and whilst in India, despite language and cultural differences made strong friendships and learnt a great deal about life for girls of their age in India. This is their film and their story.
