  • beirut şarkılarına ne kadar benziyor.

  • Yadigar.

  • It's a turkish band. Not popular. Yet.

  • is this a language?

  • So, this ended up in my inbox and now I shall comment. It sounds like a Turkish interpretation of "Elephant Gun" by Beirut. Now, the question is, was this song modeled on Elephant Gun, or is it just a coincidence that they sound so, so similar to each other?

  • @sharonb314 No problem. Always aiming to please.

  • MisterSnarkle, basically I guessed it meant indigenous. I really appreciate your answer. Got to look cool when I post.

  • Super cute, glad I checked it out. Keep it up -- the horn usage is commendable. I can't wait to here more.

  • @sharonb314 Well Sharon, basically, indie music is music not assigned to a major label -- though that definition is a bit outdated. It's come to encompass any folk-inspired, mellow sounding music. A lot of it can be categorized under folk or folk-inspired music, as well as 'indie'. Mostly, it's bands like this, with interesting use of instrumentals backed by earnest sounding, naturalistic vocals.

  • Cute!
