Planetary phases of Saturn (from new up to waning gibbous) as seen from Tethys, its fifth largest moon. The animation has been done with Celestia, with a 500-fold time acceleration. The music is the well-known opening of Richard Strauss' "Also Sprach Zarathustra".

    what is the program called?

  • Ive got this program, I love it. On Saturn and Jupiter its easy to see the shadows of the moons.

  • Saturn is about 10 times further from the Sun that Earth and has more than 60 known moons and may have several times more.
