My first trial flight in a Grumman AA-1C Lynx, registration number N9739U.

I piloted the plane for most of the flight! I was part of a group from the Wharton Wings Club who went on trip to the Hortman Aviation School. We flew from the Northeast Philadelphia Airport, and headed due Southeast for about half an hour before turning back.
By the way, the plane that crashed in Philadelphia a few months later is actually the N9555U, not this one. Here's a link to the incident report:

N9739U is alive and well!
who is Joy in the video? the Arab (Egyptian) or the Indian?
Anyway, this same aircraft crashed a year ago and 2 pilots died - a CFI (Adam Braddock, 28) and student (Charles Angelina, 24).
I have heard bad things about this school...
Btw why was Joy fired?

39U, what a nice plane. Too bad about 55U, its camo brother. My favorite Grumman AA-1C model.

Ha, that's where I am doing my private pilot's license. Joy (your flight instructor) apparently has subsequently been fired since he's no longer there and everyone always falls into awkward silence whenever you mention him...
