my mother currently has IPF she was diagnose with it in June of 2007, she is 63 years old, she has been on natural medication since June of 2007, but we do not know how much more time she has, we put our trust and faith in our heavenly father Jehovah God that one day he will take away ALL the suffering, including sickness, and death! their is no cure for this disease all we can do to the families who have someone suffering from this is to help out in any way that you can because they need us!
I was diagnosised with IPF in 1990. The foundation for Lupus had an article on drug induced Lupus and other autoimmune disease. I discontinued many of the drugs I was taking Pulmonary fibrosis is a side affect of many drugs such as Paxil, prozac and some anti-biotics. I also retired and feel that my work environment contributed to my disease. I use oxygen but my fibrosis has not progressed significantly. "Idiopathic" means unknown and there are many causes of pulmonary fibrosis.
2007. She was 68. My 3 brothers and I all offered one of our lungs for transplant but the retard doctors said her heart wouldn't hold up during surgery. I had my son's stem cells stored at birth and offered those but they also said it wouldn't help. I truly believe these doctors didn't try hard enough.
I'm only thankful my mother went peacefully in her sleep. I pray they find a cure soon.
I also knew someone whose fibrosis had a very quick development,he got worse in two months,it`s a devastating desease..This person should have gotten a lung transplant, but most doctors are just stupid assholes who know nothing but to cure a cold with aspirines..
Really truly very sorry about Erin. Its a horrible disease, regards from the uk x
