I love protective!Dean. He's always trying to keep Sam grounded by stifling his own fear and uncertainty. *sighs dreamily* And Dean's unwavering guard-dog persona is so to die for.

Also, I don't agree with what Sam said, that all things considered, they turned out alright because John was there. That's more like the product of Dean's love and efforts.

I always love the look on Sam's face when Dean says Sam has one thing Max didn't..him. Sam looks like SUCH a cute little puppy! I actually wanted to pet him! XD

@HYESUNGSWIFEYY89 Agreed. John was hardly a factor in their life because he was bent on revenge. He was trying to be a good father and he was only doing what was best for his sons but in the end all the raising of Sam fell upon Dean. Dean was the most consistent parental figure in Sam's life other than Bobby. Sam also may not have had the playful father playing football or anything like that but Dean did his best and Sam is the way he is because of Dean.
