  • 4 people should go see a doctor...

  • @cmoimoro Did you just direct that at Lisitsa? "Pretty talented" "Not bad at it".. she isn't pretty talented, she's world class! And i can't imagine anybody playing this piece with a huge silly grin across their face.. (well, lang lang maybe)

  • I think Beethoven would stand up to clap

  • @pinkfloyddwc Did it change? :P Two years have passed since your comment.

I thought the same of this movement once: I found it OK, but nothing special. I really liked the first and third movements the most. But now? This movement is the absolute culmination of this sonata for me - I love it so much! The moment at 3:43 gives me the chills... Personally I cannot understand how some people say that Valentina plays this 'without emotion' - what a nonsense claim! But, they are opinions in the end..

  • She's my lifetime favorite pianist but this is a little rushed.

  • Val,you are realy the best technical and interprete pianist than i never saw...you play with intelligence and great feeling.agility and a perfect respect for the composer idea it is a great chance for us to having the chance to anjoy your perfect,,,dynamic...and clean playing,,,,Bravo a milion time. scuse my english !!!

As much as I suppose everyone has their own tastes, when I think of the Appassionata, I think of how she plays it. The way of which she puts all of her emotion into it and her passion. It may look like she wants to 'destroy' the piano, but the emotion is obviously there, and she does it perfectly.

  • @DanielaClapp some would say the ability to express and create a touching and deeply emotional moment with in the exact rhythmic scheme of the music with out excessive rubato and/or other physical antics that have nothing to do with the production of sound is be a good thing

  • @elylilieth In music, it's important what you hear, not what you see :)

  • Je ne me lasse pas d'écouter et regarder Valentina Lisitsa, jouer l'appassionata. C'est une pure merveille. La façon qu'elle a de faire courir ses doigts sur le clavier, tout semble si naturel. Quelle maitrise! Magnifique. Incomparable.

  • @DanielaClapp really ... are you squinting your ears?
