Shane helped build a serenity pond for "Boey" Janessa Byers's family, they were diagnosed the same month and year and lived down the hall from us at Doernbecher's
Children's Hospital. We were invited by The Sparrow Clubs USA www.sparrowclubs.org . The children paticipating are cancer warriors fighting for their lives. They are all Super Hero's in my Book!
Thank you Ty, Michael, Matt and the excellent crew on ABC's Extreme Home Makeover Edition. I do have a SUPER challenge for you the (Ronald McDonald House in Portland Oregon on OHSU Campus) just think of all the volunteers that would love to participate, so many families use this home every day and it needs your touch. The day after the taping of the show, Shane was complaining of severe leg pain so we took him to Urgent Care and he broke his femur and titanium plate and underwent a second amputation.
