Does anybody kow the difference between 116 i and 118i ? Both have 2 Liter machine. Most power at 6000 Tours and the same compression ? ( 12 -1 ) My 116 i needs Super Fuel, but when i use Super Plus there is -no joke- more power, even over 4500 Tours.

Love the 1 series. Seems to me like this is the true heir of the original 2002/3 series...a small sedan car with superb handling and great fun to drive. The 3 series still does the last two, I love it too, but it is getting bigger with each incarnation. Love the 5 series, but since the E39 it has become a land yacht, lol...

@protztom : the bmw 116d has a 2.0 l engine. the diference between 116d,118D and 120D is the power and some electronics. ;)

@endMCMXCII is a 2007 bmw 1 pre-facelifted? If yes then I agree, I've checked now and you are right. I thought it was only the deal with the diesel engines.

@protztom The facelifted 116i, 118i and 120i have 2.0 liter engines. Only the PFL (pre-facelifted) 116i had a 1.6 liter engine. Its the same story with the diesel models. 116d, 118d, 120d and 123d are all 2.0 liter engines. Also the 125i, 128i(only for the American market), 130i and 135i all have 3.0 liter engines.
