Destiny
ANIME: Shingetsutan Tsukihime
OST: Shingetsutan Tsukihime OST 1 (2003)
[audio]

Tsukihime, Lunar Legend (真月譚 月姫, Shingetsutan Tsukihime?), also known simply as Lunar Legend Tsukihime (the English title of the manga, and distributed versions of the anime series across Southeast Asia, South Asia, Australasia, and other regions) is a 12-episode Japanese anime television series, produced by J.C.Staff, and adapted from TYPE-MOON's highly successful visual novel, Tsukihime.

Directed by Katsushi Sakurabi, it was originally broadcast from October 9 to December 25, 2003, and has been broadcast in Japan by TBS, BS-i, and the anime television network Animax, who have also later broadcast the series across its respective networks worldwide, including its English-language networks (under the title Lunar Legend Tsukihime, the series' only English language broadcasts) in Southeast Asia and South Asia, and its other networks in East Asia, South America and other regions. The title Tsukihime, Lunar Legend is only used in Geneon's North American DVD releases.

The music for the series was composed by Toshiyuki Ōmori and has been released in two soundtracks.

What tsukihime movies? Are you talking about kara no kyoukai?

  • I watched this anime years ago, still think its one of the best. I rewatch it every year now pretty much. And, I was even able to come across some moives, though it seems some do not have to do with this plot, still interesting. Type-moon does seem to make good works of art. Using a twist plot from this anime to make a moive to pretty much say, "don't kill yourself theres more to life." Glad I found those moives the other day...

  • @Shadow60f ya...why Arcueid must die? soo sad...

  • If you appreciating this story until last episode...this song maybe be a good song for Shiki memorise...

  • @AriesByTheStars I have to agree with you here. I watched the anime first, but then I was wondering about the VN behind it since we're dealing with Type-Moon here. The anime, when I go back on it has so much missing that could have been covered, and the character art in the anime... was a bit odd for me.

  • Wish the anime would be as good as the OST ><'

  • this anime made me cry and I'm a black male.

No, it was disliked because it was poorly made. Nice soundtracks and nice drawings, but the story suffered from the adaption.

  • @windragon379 They dislike it because it's very poor compared to the visual novel that it's based on in almost all aspects. However, there is absolutely no denying that the OST of the anime is far superior to the visual novel.

  • It's a pity so many people disliked this anime simply because it was different. So it wasn't the typical action vampire anime. It was never about action, gore or horror in the first place. It was about the mysteries surrounding the protagonist as he learns the truth of his past.
