Dancing at College of Alameda

College of Alameda has an amazing dance program. The dance studio was remodeled to help students perform better. It's very bright. And it has nice acoustic panels for great sound quality, great dance floor, and uplifting colors and paintings.

Special thanks to the college and district administrations for supporting a professional dance program at COA by deciding to renovate the dance studio. Students are both inspired and proud to work collaboratively with their instructor/choreographer in this beautiful, professional studio space. This lovely venue inspires both the students and Danny to perform their varied dance styles both in the new space, as well as throughout the community. Danny's personal as well as professional teaching goals focus intensely on crosscultural understanding between asian and non-asian ethnic groups through dance and performance. Additionally, he believes that everyone...regardless of age, ability, or experience... is capable of becoming a dancer in every sense of the word. And virtually ALL of his students rise to the occasion.....often far higher than the "barre" they had set for themselves. The process of making art through creative movement under Danny's creative and supportive tutelage is available to every one of his students everyday...and that's exactly what happens.

Ah, I remember this day they were here shooting. I was so bad, I'm embarrassed I was there!

Dammit, that's me---the sickly boy all bundled up in a green woolly cap and a gray sweat-suit. I'm moving way behind everyone else 'cause I was so damned sickly that entire semester. I'm doing better, but I was dying then... Man, look at me lollygag like a geriatric.
