Hey guys, this is my first 'real' original that I have uploaded! Real as in it is not by my band, or mucked around in audacity, and I have tried to record it to the best of my ability :D! I had vocals for this one as well, but after listening to it a couple of times through, I thought that the vocals took away from all the riffage and the soloing... and I didn't like that. So, this is now purely instrumental, and on that note, I am pretty happy about this result.

I've spent months tweaking this and making it that little more 'epic'. Originally inspired by a little competition between JackMcGuitar and I to see who can make a 'djent' styled song, The Isle was soon created after months of mucking around and experimenting. It is the only song of mine that is through-composed, which I think is cool. Call it progressive/metalcore/djent (not really) whatever you want! I just hope you like it :)

My setup:
Guitar - Schecter Hellraiser C-1
Pedal/Interface - Boss ME-70 (although in this video I didn't use it)
Strings - Ernie Ball 11-54
Tuning - Drop B

I directly recorded into the computer using REAPER for better quality and I also used the plug-in "Amplitube".
