I could see Clint Eastwood shooting that Saguaro down on a bad guy, that would have been very cool!!!....Although quite scary.

saguaros are like cats in that they're all kind of the same yet each has its own unique personality. also they can scratch you if you try to hug them...i found that out the hard way.

They really only represent southwestern Arizona, which is the only area in the US where they're native. Folks in New Mexico wouldn't choose the saguaro as a symbol for themselves. They have their own unique symbols.

It does seem odd with a "g", but they have it spelled right. Saguaro is a Spanish word.
