A fascinating clip from NBC's meet the press that shows exchanges between Truman and Kennedy that very much so mirror the exchanges between Clinton and Obama today.

  • The real reason that Truman opposed JFK for the nomination is that Truman hated Joe Kennedy, Sr. JFK's father turned against FDR when he was fired as Ambassador to Great Britain in 1940 and was a supporter of Joe McCarthy in the 1950's. When asked if he opposed JFK because Kennedy was Catholic, Truman replied "It's not the Pope I'm worried about, it's the Pop!"

  • Truman was right. Kennedy was not ready. Kennedy's whole presidency was defined by the little country of Cuba and its little dictator, Castro.

  • @xmenrus Again, I believe Jack was right; but bad advisors or CIA shills in the White House led hime down the wrong path. His administration was filled with top MASONIC NWO members. Jack was for the supremacy of the US by abstaining from oversea wars and intrigues which are bankrupting the US today. America is a bulwark against the NWO. The last presidents and our current presidents persist in doing everything they can to bring this country down.

  • @gtimny I merely point out that what the CIA planned and wanted is not what Jack Kennedy commited too and the pulled back. Maybe he was right; but he was DEAD right. Jack also stopped borrowing from the Federal Reserve Bank issuing US NOTES through the US Mind as per the US Constitution and thus challenged the world bankers; and Jack was ready to pull out of Vietnam in total; against the vested ingterest of the banksters and the National Defense Industry.

  • @gtimny

Good comment. Bay Of Pigs was Eisenhower/CIA-Allen Dulles. JFK did the right thing. They hated him for it but he did the right thing. Putting US Servicemens lives at risk for this wasnt acceptable to him.

  • If Kennedy was not the son of the Nazi- lover Joseph Kennedy, he would have been thrown in the brig for allowing a PT boat to be hit by a destroyer. Only time in WWII that such a screw-up happened. But, like everything else connected with the Kennedys, it worked out well for them due to the devil incarnate, J.P. Kennedy. It was like a Ferrari being unable to avoid a garbage truck, and yet, Kennedy comes out of the fiasco a hero. How gullible is the American public.

  • @vanbock AMEN BROTHER! AMEN! Marylin Monroe found out the hardway. I heard the testimony of an LA motorcycle cop the pulled over a limo for speeding on it's way to the airport on the night Monroe died. Robert Kennedy was in the back seat. The cop shined his flashlight on him and of course recognized him. An attorney friend of Bobby in San Francisco swore to an investigator the Bobby was in his S.F Mansion the day Monroe died.
