The Edmonton Eskimos of the CFL actually hold the record with 33 straight playoff seasons. Now by no means is the CFL superior in any way and 6 of 8 teams make the playoffs, but they still hold the record lol
Exactly. And that's the worst rule in the NHL's book. That's exactly what fucked Hossa in game 3 between the Wings and Ducks. Thank god those buttfuckers didn't get enough help from the refs to take the series.
that call can't go upstairs - calls that are made on the ice are not reviewable. Only calls that require instant reply to see if the puck went into the net are reviewable. That's why, as soon as Mick blew his whistle, the Blues were screwed. Even if the entire world thought it was a legit goal the fact that he blew his whistle, according to the rules, means that the on-ice call stands.
abot that whole "never had a goal scored when the goalie had his hand on it" thing, I remember Sundin scoring one on Brodeur like that just a few years ago
I really felt for Doug Weight and the Blues and their fans after this. He's absolutely right: it's rediculous when a league can have instant replay AND bad calls.
lol I remember watching this game. I was in MO spring break of that year. Couldn't believe how bad STL got screwed that night.

I have this set up to an email account I never check. Good try at a failed comeback, though.
