  • Lovely rendition!!! you really nailed the syncopation and feel of Bert's playing, and since hearing of his passing, it makes this even more poignant.

but you should know that this song is much older than the late great Snooks Eaglin - I have managed to trace it back to Walter Davis in the late 1930's, and I'm sure that there must be even earlier roots...

  • excellent mate.....nice job

  • WOW. That is unreal playing. I love Berts version and you have it down perfectly. Now can you slow it down by about 300% so mere mortals like myself can see what you're doing?!!

  • oh snap! this is so clean, nice finger work.

what kind of guitar is that?

  • Excellent! Is there a tab lurking then?

  • Very, very good cover!

    Got the stars... :)

  • Excellent. You've even got the voice right - the difference being that you're easier to understand :) No slur (no pun intended) on Bert, he's a genius.

  • amazing guitar playing my friend! Did you learn this by ear or is there a tab lurking around somewhere for this great tune?

  • very nice
