My site: www.truespec.com. This is a new edition of the Bach Chorales that includes instructions on how to study and how to record them. The Bach Chorales are a great tool for songwriters to learn how to harmonize a song and pick the right note for the bass. Includes an appendix showing at what time of the church year the chorales were sung.

  • Bach's and Palestrina's points of departure, in composition, are antipodal. Palestrina starts out from lines and arrives thence at chords, Bach's music grows out of an ideal harmonic background, against which the voices develop with a strong independence.

Counterpoint [today's] use's J.J. Fux's Gradus Ad Parnasum as a guideline, which favoured Palestrina. Not Bach's. Sorry man.

  • This is a really nice video. The Bach Chorales are an endless source of inspiration.

  • I noticed your site truespec.com is now suspended. I purchased some synth PDFs a while back and am looking for some of the others you had but I see your site is no longer online. I hope this is only temporary. Thanks!

  • Nice video, I love Bach's chorales... such simple yet crucial works.

PDF format though? That's like saying ATM machine.
