There are nearly 2 square miles of natural habitat left in the city of Troy. Of this, more than 3/4ths is unprotected.
Troy is home to white tailed deer, coyotes, great blue herons, hawks, dozens of amphibians and reptiles, and countless species of insects and spiders.
Troy, MI needs a wetlands ordinance to protect these places from being destroyed for new houses, when hundreds of houses in the city are vacant.
