Hula Blues was performed at my request by Gerald Ross on Hawaiian steel, accompanied by Marv & Kathy Reitz on guitar and ukulele bass. They played it at Gerald's workshop on Hawaiian steel at The Portland Ukulele Festival 09.

Gerald Ross' website is, oddly enough, www.geraldross.com

Hula Blues was written by Sonny Cunha & Johnny Noble in 1920.

  • whats the tuning on the steel guitar? is it a 6 string?

  • I don't play steel, and I can't remember the tuning. It is six strings. I posted Gerald's website in the info for this post. Contact him, he'll be glad to tell you all about Hawaiian steels!

  • Great as usual.
