We do seem to be drifting away from each other in the real world because of the internet. I, however, do not talk to people that I actually know on the internet. Instead I have an entirely second group of friends on the internet. They're people that I probably never would have talked to if the internet were not around. People in Australia and on the East coast of the US. Globally it brings us together, but locally it pushes us apart.

that last sentence is a really good point. i've never really thought about it in global vs. local terms, and it's interesting that you're bringing that up, because that does seem to be a big piece of the puzzle.
thanks for your input!

I feel ya dawg. haha the gansgstaness is rubbing off ^^ I agree with you that our online worlds could slowly be overtaking our physical worlds. It definitely cultivates isolation and loneliness...if George Orwell were alive and wrote another futuristic book in our society it would be about how no one talks to eachother anymore lol... it would be pretty interesting huh? Anyways, thanks for sharing! ;D ;D
