  • please don't tell me there is music there, and he's looking at it, but you didn't want to get it on camera....either this or he's looking in one direction a lot. i'm not sure.

  • There is no music. Oliver has hours of lessons without music starting anywhere. He hardly ever uses the score other for the first few days of learning a new piece.

  • I was also wondering if his 'cello is full size or 3/4, as he's still on the petit side. Keep up the good work! I sometimes watch Oliver's videos before I practice as an inspiration.

  • Oliver has been awarded the cello as a loan by the Carlsen foundation. It is a 3/4. The videos of him 11-12 year-old is a 1/2 cello from the same source.

  • Oliver, you are an artist! You are young, but talented.

  • That's how pieces should be played. Personally, I find it an embarrassment to perform a solo piece with music. Imo, if you play w/ the music you just get the notes, you don't get the entire meaning/message of the piece.

    tl:dr = Me too ;)

  • hahahahaha stop kidding, XD this kid is f*cking good! 13 ans he's good as hell, imagine in 10 years! keep going oliver

  • Saying three flats is difficult is a bit of a stretch, but w/e.

  • 12 and working on Dvorak? You better have one hell of a teacher. I'm not criticizing your skill level, but the Dvorak is something that require more than skill, emotion, passion. Among other things the Dvorak demands respect as it is one of the most difficult cello concertos to truly master both mentally and physically.

If you are as gifted as Oliver here and you have an excellent teacher than I say go for it.

  • perfect, really

  • just wow!!

  • lol i agree
