@iwannagosurf it means that kurt would rather go out with a bang than slowly get unpopular over the years like some rock stars or bands do

OMG HE LOOKS LIKE MY COUSIN HE DOES

@MikePYaDig we don't bash on the Yers, but want to help guide you. Its true the baby boomers kept us down but Xers are more down to earth. They last thing we want to do is shit on the next generation. Still we have something in common. The economy suck because of the boomers and we are both stuck in it. Peace

@cmtmj2007 I wish Kurt was still alive today as well. He would not still be married to that fake eye-sore Courtney Love.

The best music that ever happened for Generation X was black metal, even though I do like Nirvana. The only grunge metal I ever liked. RIP Kurt.

yet despite this, from what i researched and see for myself, we adapted quickly to this, and have learned to take care of business, as i am putting myself through college as well as many other gen yers. and, like any other generation, we will carve new paths in what it takes to succeed. im afraid i cant say i kno what gen x really did yet i do agree with the fact that baby boomers have kept them down regardles, as my parents are gen x and baby boomers are in my opinion dinosoaurs now and selfish

i would agree that generation y is mostly seen as those born between 1982 and 1995, but could be up to 2000. also, from what ive read generation x has been mostly defined under the years from 1964-1981. i was born in 1989 and from my point of view we are not lazy but were raised under the impression that we can do anything and we always will win, which is bullshit because it didnt allow us to learn how to pick ourselves up, which we are doing now in college and the workforce

better to burn out than to fade away.
wtf does that mean

there always be good bands out there but at the moment too comercial
Cobain represented Gen X far more than people realize. I like many of my friends came from a middle class family who could not afford to send us to college. We worked a lot of crummy low paying jobs due to many jobs being outsourced to China and India. The selfish boomers with their overwhelming numbers kept us down while they running the show. Cobain realized it and put his feelings into music. We were not born with feelings of cynicism, we adopted them because of our position in society.

"It's better than to be hated for what you are than be love for what you aren't" Thats what grunge was all about. Being your self and being happy. 14 years after Kurt's death, people are back to being phonies. Every day I wish he was still alive.
