  • Ah! Missed that one! Have it on DVD myself anyhow so no bother. Will let you know if I find that track, 4 years ago since I did that video so could be anywhere. I have just got permission to use photos from the 1937 movie in a book `The Edge of the World - Then & Now` showing all the movie locations Michael Powell used back then. Should be finished by late Summer. Regs. Dave

  • Video 8 quality aside, this is a lovely piece of footage of an island very rarely captured on video, other than Michael Powell's movie of course. Thank you for sharing your work with a wider audience than just family and friends. I'd love to know who performs the music in Part I of your video set, and what the piece of music is called? Thanks again and kindest regards, Andrew.

  • @TheManxFella Thanks for your kind comments Andrew, I am sorry to say I can`t recall where the music track came from, but feel that it was in a complilation CD that I got online that was copyright free for use, but at present I can`t recall which I have so many. Incidentally the movie by Michael Powell `The Edge of the World` has been uploaded on here by someone, it is also on TV Film 4 channel on Tues 10th Jan at 11am. Dave.

  • You`re very welcome thanks! I put up another little video just type in : `Sailing Round Foula` and you should find it.

  • Thanks anyway hgwman. Powell's movie was actually on Film 4 this afternoon too, though I know they show all their movies on a monthly rosta. It was watching it again there today (i.e. I have the movie on DVD... somewhere?), that made me want to search out some modern day footage of Foula on the internet earlier. If you ever discover which track you used, I'd love to hear from you again. I have a large collection of Celtic music, old and new, but I know I don't have that track. Best Wishes.

  • can't thank you enough for posting this + sharing Foula's raw natural beauty
