Corsa 1.5TD Flooring It

Comming off a round about in second gear and giving it some beans in the TD. Not reving it above 4200rpm
Only engine mods include straight through 3" exhaust to sports back box
K&N drop in filter with de-restricted / modified airbox
Boost and fueling soon..

154,000 on the clock and it's a 5 door, so not too bad for it's age.

Was never 100% sure. Loss of power, loud ticking from the top end and lots of bluey grey smoke.

I think the injector pump gave up.

This is heavier. and less cc than the peugeot, but still has a lot more power even before turbo kicks in.

The peugeot had a hard life.

@hardcoretam ouch, well at least it lasted a long time! didn't it have high mileage to? yeah corsa's are better to drive than peugeots if you want to sit back and cruise, but handling not many little cars beat the 106.

Yeah the Pug had done 178k when it gave up. It was a hard 178k at that.

Agree on handling. This Corsa has 40mm jamex springs and dampers kit. Nice and stiff, but still doesn't give me the same confidence in the corners as the 106 did. Ordered a strut brace for this and gonna install a cav rear arb. That sound help.

Shame they 106 didn't come with this engine in it though. Quite a bit quicker and about the same on fuel
