Idiot that was after the stabbing. Sanchez never came close to beating Seles in a slam anywhere before the stabbing, got her butt whooped all 4 times. I am just giving you a taste of your own biased medicine. If you are going to saying Graf was lucky that Seles was stabbed, so was your crush Sanchez. Sanchez had only won 1 slam before the stabbing and she never was going to win another one without the stabbing. So Sanchez really should be only a 1 time slam winner like just like Sabatini.

@JordanjamesX She got three of those four slams when Gaby was on decline, Steffi was injured prone and Monica was stabbed. Otherwise she would be a one slam wonder like Gaby.  And Gaby still leads the head to head of Aranxta eventhough she got most of her wins were on Gaby's decline.

Sanchez VIcario she won 4 slams and made it to number 1 and Sabatini wasn't even close. Sanchez Vicario also won more WTA titles and reached more slam finals than Sabatini. Arantxa was just a superior player. Sabatini lead Arantxa by only 1 victory in their head to head. However, Arantxa turned the tables on Sabatini in 1992 to the end of her career.

Sabatini was very close to being number one in 1991 but she got drunk on her 21st birthday and lost to Anke Huber in the third round of the German Open. If Sabatini had beaten Huber she WOULD of been number one in the world that year. But Gabriela was always mentally weak she never had the mental toughness to carry her through. Seles and Graf also had better serves and more powerful shots. Sabatini lacked the big serve and the mind of champion. Sabatini is the biggest underachiever in WTA ever.

wrong, she met capriati in the quarters in 1992. They met in the semis in 1990.

I miss these days, the graf/seles/sabatini triangle in the early 90's was fascinating!! Yes sabatini was probably the lesser player in terms of competitiveness but her game was outstanding, she didn't have the drive that graf and seles had. Women's tennis pales in comparison these days.
