Shell Cop Garda Kevin Conroy has no idea why he's guarding Shell's net at Glengad

Shell have been putting up a net across the cliff face at Glengad Beach, Co Mayo to stop sandmartins nesting there. Meanwhile local residents have been taking down the net as soon as they put it up. This 'specially protected area' is 'a priority habita't for birds and wildlife, and a 'special area of conservation'. All the 'authorities' of the State are derelict in their duty to enforce the protection of the area and instead they facilitate Shell all the way, as usual. Local people are forced into the position where they face criminalisation for taking direct action to protect their environment.
