Wow, its like I'm back on SEPTA's NABI; but this is second generation NABI and is running for NJ Transit. First ride on NJ Transit New NABI 416 as I was on my way to Walter Rand Transportation Center. NJ Transit's NABI are becoming more common in the fleet as most of the Flixible Metro B are withdrawn of the fleet after serving the transit for twenty years. This bus is among the first and only batch to equipped with CAT C13 engine and ZF 6HP-592 transmission though in my opinion, I call the CAT engine as CAT C9 engine since that engine is mostly used on transit bus model and the CAT C13 sound similar to CAT C9 engine. Due to CAT's engine not meeting the EPA requirement and ZF transmission is improving the design; the next batch of NABIs will have Cummins ISL9 engines and ZF 6HP-594 transmission.
