Election (trailer)

This film takes the scandals and mudslingings associated with presidential elections and transposes them to a high school election for student council president in Nebraska- with impossibly sharp, satirical results.

Jim McAllister is a teacher who will stop at nothing to prevent perfect Tracy Flick, who is running unopposed, from winning the election. Jim, who bears a personal grudge against Tracy, goads a popular but dim football player into running against her. This spurs on a series of strange events (both madcap and surprisingly sexual), which add up to an uncommonly funny high school film for adults.

can anyone tell me what the movie about the kids cheating their way through school is called?i know it came out around the same time as this movie. like i remember parts of it but not the name of the movie. like the cheating group befriended this guy who wrote cheat sheets on gum wrappers and stuff and one of the people in the movie made a cult and then killed himself in a group suicide pact? ringing any bells?

Fantastic movie. I loved how the cast looked REAL, as opposed to plastic surgery enhanced folks from Hollywood. Music selections were awesome too.

Aside from this movie being really funny- I like that their high school looks like a real high school ( unlike 10 Things Hate about You where their hs is a castle or Encino Man where their hs looks like a mall) and I like how the actors look like real high schoolers (unlike most hs movies where the actors are all in their 30s)

OMG,Paul Metzler(Chris Klein)is soo HOT!!!!:DHe's just such an AMAZING actor!And this was the first movie he ever did and him being just so amazing makes it seem like he's done this a million times before!hes just so beautiful: )™
