Meeting with Nature: Shulgan-Tash

Shulgan-Tash Nature Reserve, situated in the hills of the southern Ural Mountains, has magnificent landscapes, exposed cliffs and forested mountains, green slopes, pristine rivers and mysterious caves. The Bashkirian people have upheld the tradition of wild bee-keeping in these mountain forests for centuries. Now, the main direction of the work of scientists is keeping and studying the Bashkirian wild-hive bee and also guarding the unique natural and cultural feature — the Shulgan-Tash cave, the walls of which are decorated with drawings of primitive men.
