@ronaldt491 yes you have the released version, this one wasn't released in this format,this is just the raw studio recording before the overdubbs etc. were added to produce the finished article, this is the only version i have though so would love to hear yours,Mark.

Greatest hits cd I have also features this version without studio chatter, not the backup group version. My little 45 got lots of play over the years and is very scratchy. Hopefully there are others with it who can upload there version. I purchased the cd with the hope my version was on it. Kind of like wanting steak and getting chicken. Chicken is good, but it ain't steak!!!!

@ronaldt491 It's ben said that Sonny Bono overdubbed the Duncan Sisters on 1955 and 1956 previously unreleased tracks. Some overdubs were ok..but some were awful - Shake A hand (If You Can) got overdubbed for a late '50s release; overdubbed again w. trombone for a '70 release. McCartney did this song as a tribute to LR (he lobed to play this record on a jukebox when he was just starting out) on his RUN DEVIL RUN CD. Richard remade it for Reprise in 1971. Possibly a version for Atlantic in 1963!

I've never heard this song before and was enlighted when I heard it...Little Richard sing a love song, how sweet! Keep a Knockin' is my all time favorite by this guy who never hit it off with me in highschool but my dose has he ever chaged that owing to Youtube & those that have Little Richard 's best stuff. All they ever played on the radio was Tutti Fruitti and Good Golly Miss Molly...no wonder I didn't care for Little Richard. Thanks for postin' this love song & it's Richard (wow).

I personally like the version where Little Richard has the female backup singers performing this song with him. In my opinion it's far superior to this version without them.

But ultimately Faye Adams has the best version.
