  • Octavia won't win. Here's why. Melissa McCarthy will win it due to have the curve ball nomination. It's going to be just like in 1970 when Karen Black was set to win for 5 Easy Pieces, she won all the awards up to that. Come Oscar night Helen Hayes swooped out of nowhere and won it. Melissa is not only the fan favorite but the best performance out of all 5. Chastain is 100X more memorable in The Help. Spencer is worth a nomination, not the win. Melissa is this year's Helen Hayes. It's guaranteed

  • Jessica Chastain, in my opinion, should win the Oscar this season. Though Octavia Spencer did a great job in The Help, it’s not much of a stretch for her to play an underdog woman of color. Chastain, however, has great range, as attested to by her variety of roles, and is breath taking to look at. I think one of the most underrated performances she had was when she played the conflicted, strong, and yet vulnerable Mossad agent in The Debt. Jessica Chastain is my new favorite actress.

  • @SKellingJACK154 - Bridesmaids was one of those films you can describe as "relatable"....you could relate to the characters in some way, you understood how they felt, and it was also a very predictable film, but in a good way. Bridesmaids is clearly good entertainment. The performers worked well together, yet McCarthy definitely stood out. As someone mentioned, she was like the moronic brother-in-law in The Hangover.

  • @kkamalanii - slavery ended in the late 1800s, but there was still a lot of remnants of segregation well into the 60s and 70s, which wasn't too long ago when you think about it. racism is still felt by the boomer generation who are in their 40s, 50s, 60s. there was racial discrimination going on even in the 80s and 90s...it's our reality. don't feel guilty or threatened by others' ignorance. plus, discrimination is not always about race either, remember that.

  • @KrueMann1992 loool
