Speech for Ron Paul Arkansas Tea Party Presidential Straw Poll.wmv

A straw poll was taken for the Presidential Election by the Arkansas Tea Party Tuesday at 6:30pm, 12/13/11. Michelle Bachmann, Rick Perry, Rick Santorum, Newt Gingrich, Mitt Romney, Ron Paul, and John Huntsman were voted on. A person was allowed to speak for each candidate, but no one volunteered to speak for Romney or Huntsman.

.....1st round:Michelle Bachmann 36%, Newt Gingrich 24%, Rick Santorum 18%, Ron Paul 15% Rick Perry and Mitt Romney each had 3%.......2nd round: held the top 4 at about the same and the 3rd and final round was just between the top 2: Michelle Bachmann who got 71% and Newt Gingrich 29%

The Arkansas Tea Party has far more active members than most organizations in Arkansas and will have more in 2012. The straw poll was open to anyone who attended. . If you support a candidate, show up at Tea Party meetings and argue for them.

The voting result reflect the reality - "Tea Party" (what is left from it) are more in line with Glenn Beck and majority missed on Austrian (free-market) economics since they do not see the danger in maintaining Big militaristic state.
