  • I loved this movie so much! You made a great tribute, with the best scenes & essence of the movie captured in it (: Audrey & Humphrey are simply great.

No. The movie was a big success and Bogart was one of his finest perforances. The movie won many awards. So, Bogart "thought" he was miscast, but he wasn't.

Billy Wilder wanted him in the movie accoring to the character.

He was very warm to do the part, anyway.

Yes, he have a hard time in production because of unfinished script and his decling health, but he apologized to Wilder and Holden for his actions.

  • Dude, what's wrong with you? I think I came across your hateful posts on Bogart videos many times already. Has he ever done anything to you?

  • @PeterFirthFan

Why make things up like that? I have 3 biographies of Bogart. He never said something like that. In fact, she was the only one on set he could get along with.

  • @PeterFirthFan

um...He died almost 60 years ago. If he drank and smoked so muchm he had lived longer to see the events of the 60's and maybe 70's

  • Yes I heard he was annoyed about her taking multiple takes. He didn't care for Bill Holden either. Bogart later apologized for his behaviour, perhaps he realised how miscast he was in the film?

  • @PeterFirthFan

Good grief, I know Bogie. He is a gentlemen. He was always inpatient of inexperienece people like Audrey and Ava Garder, but never say crap like that.

Actually, he got quite fine with her than the other cast because he was mad at the not so finish script by Billy Wilder.

    stop reading myths

  • @PeterFirthFan

He didn't hated her. He hate her inexperinece, but they did get along.
