I love the way you talk :))) But personally i liked it, though maybe its because I did not see the original...but I quite liked it, because i was genuinely scared, I thought it had, as you said, good cinematography, good suspense building, the whole sleep-waking confusion aspect was nicely done. Though I must say I wasn't crazy about the acting, especially by the teenagers. but then again, i did not see the original. one of my friends saw the original and didn't like this new one.

@channelryan96 I don't know, to me that's what made it kinda fun. Overall I preferred it to the original.

@cores717 Really? Why'd you like it

@channelryan96 Becasuse it felt more like a complete film than the original. Even Wes Craven said himself that the remake is more what he had in mind than his original one. This film was just more badass and brutal which was amazing. And Jackie Earle Haley was amazing. I love the original, and this is the best one since the first one.

@cores717 Well fair enough I guess, I just think the characters weren't developed at all, and that it only went for cheap scares.

@channelryan96 Then again the original has a lot of cheap jump scares as well. And also some characters were not developed in the original as well. Then again those are flaws for both films.

@cores717 I guess so, but I also didn't appreciate that this film entirely copied the original, it just kinda made the film pointless.
