John Edwards - "Health Care" Television Ad - Iowa

John Edwards was right. He was the only candidate who told the truth. Barack Obama is a corporatist. The only reason that he was able to build such a strong coalition is because of the corporate donations and support his campaign got. Edwards refused. One stroke of a pen with executive orders can create a national health system. Edwards would have done it. Obama will not. Obama-care consists of giving tax dollars directly to existing insurance companies for subsidies. Not real "change."

orlean2000 are you American? I really hope so. I'm from belfast (Britian, well UK actually) and so far on the internet I have seen nothing but bull sh@*t about the NHS. (sorry I'm still a tad angry about it) Your the first American (I hope you are) that actually understands why we feel the NHS is so important.

I have an uncle from Britain. He's the most conservative, pro-free market, capitalistic person i know personally. Yet, he thinks healthcare is a human right just like education. That the healthcare should be insured by state gov'ts and privately delivered and non-profit and be universal whether you're a homeless person or a multi-millionaire. If i need surgery the doctor and I decide if it's needed not a gov't or private insurance company bureaucrat.

Alright, now since you're so clever, try two things 1: understand that most of the rich countries have health care because the main purpose of a governement is not to stack up bombs but to actually try improving people lives.

2: Now try to write down the name of everybody that the CEO of Exxonn mobile should pay health care for.

He can't take healthcare away from anyone.
