To just believe in Jesus and then continue to sin unrepentantly is like a criminal being let off and shown mercy by the courts, but he keeps on committing the crime and returning to court again and again and avoiding punishment. This would not happen in human courts and no-one would believe this to be just and morally right. Yet many "Christians" expect God to treat them this way? We must live a life worthy of the calling we have received (Ephesians 4:1-6)

I guess you've never heard of Russ Dizdar's work, on MPD's (multiple personality disorder). In response to xukeith33, scripture is our final authority. Not the church, or the pope, or tradition. Anything that is contrary to God's word must be rejected no matter where it comes from.
