I remember going to Italy on 1977 on cp air on a 747. I was 12 and I was amazed, huge plane. Those days they didn't gave a chute that brings you in the plane.
I miss the days of CP Air. Their orange/silver colour scheme and the red triangle on the tail(the Multi-mark) was pretty cool! They never served my hometown in Ontario(Air Canada did), so I never got to see very many CP Air planes in person except the when we`d drive past Toronto Pearson and twice on a visit to Vancouver. All other times I`d see them were in magazine pics and commercials like these.
Those days have long past, but sites like youtube.com help keep those memories going!
It should have been Canadian buying out Air Canada!!!!! 99% of Canadians would have agreed!! Air Canada just gets worse and worse and worse sadly now.
let air canada take off frist. cp go tothe back of the line.

The clip ends, I think fitting, with the takeoff of CPA's "Empress of Canada," the incomparable Boeing 747.

I miss CP Air. My first flight was aboard a Boeing 737 from Ottawa to Vancouver and return. CP 163/164. 1986. Loved the paint scheme too.
