  • Hello, everyone! I have posted my latest poem on my profile, "For the Boys Molested by Gerald Sandusky." It's heavy... but please don't be afraid to listen.

  • Peace, love, and blessings to everyone. Thanks for all of your support. My spirit is on a new poetic journey, and I'm excited and anxious to see what my heart spits out next. And you all will be on that journey with me. :) Feel free to follow me on twitter @poeticsoulsays and add me on facebook if you would like to ask me anything. Love ya'll! God bless.

  • I like this poem, but i wanted to know the name that was said after Sean Bell. it was at the 3:00 mark.

  • Nice... so I guess Black on Black crimes don't count in your speech. The soldiers of every color fight and die in wars so you can have your little poetic shindigs. You talk about Trinidad... Trinidad is not the US. So if you're not happy in the US go back to Trinidad. I am from Guam a US Territory where WHITES, BLACKS, ASIANS, ISLANDERS all died for that same RED---- WHITE----BLUE!!!! And on Guam we are PROUD to be AMERICANS.

  • @DJPKBOO33 I respect your opinion, however I believe that you misunderstood the message of my poem.

  • @DJPKBOO33 The line which mentioned Trinidad (which was about my mom, not me) is about people coming from different countries to the US, and being called "aliens." They are human beings just like us.

I also mentioned several different races, and all of the hardships that each one has had to go through while being in this country.

By the way, at Brave New Voices, I have heard the poetry team from Guam speak on things that are not right about America, as well.
