Lucas gets his Christmas present from Grammie and Granddaddy - a hand built P-51 Mustang, painted in the colors of "Glamorous Glenn III", the P-51 flown by Chuck Yeager in WWII. Turns out Lucas is a little disappointed when he finds out it doesn't really fly!

It was built using plans from Aviation Products in Cedar Rapids IA.One 4x8 sheet of plywood provides all the wood you need, there are other metal parts (wheels, axles, sheet metal for cowlings, etc.). You can get all the details at the website http://www.pedalplanekits.com. It's a LOT of work but a LOT of fun and very rewarding, especially if you are doing it for your child or grandchild!
