  • Any thoughts on how to secure the horizontal partitions into the side walls without a router? I'm taking a stab at this project. i have a few hand saws, a circular saw, planes, chisels, and what not, but no router. thanks!

  • @f0ckt They really need to be set into a shallow dado. I cut mine on my tablesaw with a dado set. My first tablesaw was a skil saw bolted to the bottom of a partial sheet of 1/2" plywood. Then I just clamped a straight board to a whole series of parallel lines drawn on the ply. Multiple passes will produce a dado and if care is taken there is no reason it will not be accurate although a little time consuming. I rigged a switch to the saw and held the trigger down with rapped inner tube scraps.

  • Are those drawers just fitted in those spaces snugly? I guess what i'm askin is if you did anything fancy in those drawers that we can't see, or if there just cut to fit nicely. Thanks!!!!

  • @f0ckt Those drawers are just boxes sized to fit inside the plywood partitions of the plywood box. They are not attached in any way. So they come out if I need to set something I am making up off the ground for finishing or gluing access. I sanded and finished them pretty roughly, but they slide so nice because after the finish dries I just lube the inside of the case with Vaseline which is the best wooden drawer runner lube I know of. I am not a wax fan.

  • how much doeas a decent table saw like urs cost?

  • @JohnAjluni That saw is beyond decent. Super stout castings and the best fit and finish I have ever seen on a cabinet saw. Mine is a rht but I think they now offer it lht also. I paid $1465 15 years ago. I don't know how much they cost today but for a Canadian built Model 350 I would not be surprised if it was twice that. Just google General woodworking machines Canada.
