From what I have been told by the National Park Service, this candid camera video of a free ranging Florida Panther and her three kittens is the first of it's kind where the panthers are not aware of any human presence and they are exhibiting their true natural behavior in their natural habitat of the Florida Everglades Big Cypress National Preserve.

I set up this video surveillance system on an old long abandoned homestead sight that is high and dry. (This is why you will see the vintage cast iron tum in the foreground)

  • it sucks that theyre hybrids now and not purebred

  • @thebluetick15

It sucks that they don't manage all of the other animals as well as they do the "Panther".

  • There is a panther behind every tree out there. The endangered species designation is a myth. In reality, the Florida Panther is extinct ever since they cross-bred them with Texas cougars.

  • I know! Deer disappear just like that. It kind of makes you wonder about the whole camouflage clothinh industry? ;-) Ha!

  • @xXTombstoneXx ...your hunch is dead on regarding the so called panthers . The slob agencies in charge of the reasources are corrupt and are managing the Cypress for the panther and nothing much else. We've raised hell about the declining populations but non of them are willing to provide answers. The only consistent pattern is that they will not cast any blame on them selves or their beloved feline with regards to all that is going on.

  • @thebluetick15 not true, there are still many florida panthers though not many, only some are cougar hybrids or cougars

  • please please please dont kill the PANTHER.....there are millions of mutt dogs, kill one of them instead

  • @erikeverett

They don't appear to have any problem living wild in the Everglades except four the occasional "Road Kill". They are reproducing and eating everything. I have seen four or five in the wild not counting these in this video. I personally think they are responsible for the dramatic decline in the deer population as well as the population of every other animal that I used to see in the Glades. I have sat for days and not seen any four legged animals!

  • hope they are alive today. it is so sad when an animal goes extinc. the world would be a better place if humas would go extinc.

  • Hi Chuck--

Just left you a message on your main page. I'm wondering where you got this footage?

    Thanks very much!
