Okay, to my knowledge I've heard that this was Unbeatable unless you cheat. I don't think it's Unbeatable...just really freakin' hard! lol! But I've gotten pretty far without a continue. I'll share a little bit of knowledge I've learned with the Levels in this vid...

Level 5: Heam
This Level is not so hard...If you watch closely, I've made a pattern for myself, each consisting a useful way to keep moving and shoot as many enemies as I can. With a bit of practice and recoqnization, this level can be a breeze.

Level 6: Yorde
Talk about annoying levels!!! This is nearly impossible to get past without at least getting hit once! Remember I said NEARLY! So there is a chance you can blaze through without a scratch. I've also been doing a little trick I've developed since the first space harrier. Notice that I moved to the side of the screen and stopped a little? I didn't really stop at all...I was really pushing the side a bit. By doing this, the objects that come up spans to the opposite direction I'm pushing/moving. It appears as though I'm still moving farther in the direction I'm pushing. It's useful sometimes in levels like this, when you are not sure of where to move to. And on a side note, DON"T KILL EVERY ENEMY THAT APPEARS! Because the explosion graphics will block your view of objects you are trying to avoid eventually. Just be careful, kill the essential monsters, and stop laughing at my pain! Boss is easy to defeat.

Level 7: Dayamon
The circle maneuver works well in this level. This level is hard to adjust to since you just finished the last level. This is pretty much tough but nothing you can't handle...Just watch and this and memorize the appearance of the monsters. Just remember you can still surprise attack the monsters that appear from the side. Keep moving and dodging and you should be fine. Spam a whole bunch of blasts on the boss, dodge, and repeat. Oh and aim for the eye. You should get a bonus life from this level...

Level 8: Manmo
This Level is almost like level 4...Just the order of monsters that appear is different. This is also where the little spanning trick comes in handy as well. Don't rush yourself, and just fly through it with it. Focus on avoiding the trees, they are the main problem in this level. (As with level 4) Near the end of the level though, get rid of the enemies that appear, before they have a chance to come back with an attack! O.o Now for the boss, shoot the head. Simple? Not really...Avoid it's blasts! But please take notice of the frontal assault pattern. Avoid the blast using a circle method, but near the end of the assault, avoid to the side. Do not, I repeat, DO NOT avoid the last blast of the assault vertically! YOU WILL BE HIT REGARDLESS unless you avoid it horizontally.

  • If you want to see the end of Space Harrier 3D, I've got one word for you: 0x00001EC5

  • I bet you that I can beat this game! I may not have any skill that's above-average, but dammit, I can win.

    I FEEL INCREDIBLE!!!!

  • I had this gasme - I think the 3d glasses destroyed my eyes, but what a cool game - love the 8 bit "Get Ready" and the funky music.

Very few people know how much the SMS rocked!

  • Plus, THANK GOD you don't HAVE to use the 3-D glasses to play the game. There's a hidden option that let's you choose whether you want it on or off.

  • I managed to beat it without cheating, but its very, very tough.

If I recall correctly, Stage 9 is extremely nasty. Some pretty damn scary rock creatures in that with angry faces.

  • YOU LUCKY SON OF A @#%$#! Nevertheless, Kudos to you! n.n I'm trying my best to find a way to get past level 9 without dying once. Let me tell ya, NOT EASY! Nice challenge though.

  • パラパパパァパラパァパパァパパァラァ~~~♪

  • And let's hear it for the faulty collision detection at 3:16! YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!

  • Damn, this game was hard. I never finished it as a kid. I just love the art style, too, especially the game manual with pictures of the dragon bosses.

  • I can beat this game but thats like when I'm on my last continue and last life or two lol By Yorde level six, objects that seem distant just magically seem to teleport right in front of your face. Players of this game would know what I'm talkin about.

  • The secret to Space Harrier is to not move back to your previous position for a few seconds, as that's where the fireballs are headed.

  • I'm not sure who claimed this game was unbeatable, but it is certainly very challenging. You really cannot stay still for a moment. With that said, I did complete it sometime ago when I was finally old enough to develop finely tuned motor skills. The bosses in this version are definitely more bizarre and more sinister looking than in any other.

  • FUCK Heam! i could NEVER pass this stage. after decades of trying i could never pass it.

  • ...And then OH GOD GIANT FIRE SAMURAI!

  • One thing I love about SMS Harrier is that the bosses do't immediately appear...there's a fade out of the music and a build up of suspense.
