Which mic are you talking about? the mic that's in the picture clipped onto the bell of my sax is an Audix ADX20i - I love it, I can't say enough good things about it. It's well-designed and well-made. But the video was recorded using a JVC camcorder with a built-in mic, I have no idea what kind of hardware they put in those.

The cameraman was moving across to try and get a better angle, he moved to a different position & wasn't standing directly in front of the stage mains anymore, so the camcorder's built in mic picked up a slightly different pattern. I was going to try and fix it using audio software, but I decided to leave it alone rather than process it too much.

It's actually Greg Garrett on trumpet; Randy Mueller is a great player also, he has played with my 17-piece big band in the past.
