Hey,
I have had some mercury for a long time, but it has developed a layer of oxide or something on the outside that disrupts the shiny nature of it. It doesn't look very good and I was wondering if you have had this problem and how to remedy it. Thanks!

@AnythingSlowMotion I've see that oxide on the top before. I have been able to remove it by lining a bowl with a paper towel and carefully roll the mercury in that.

@robsnobsproductions I think Wikipedia would probably do a better job of explaining it. It is a "liquid metal" that has/had many uses, from thermometers, manometers, thermostats, used as a switch in cars that would turn the trunk light on when the trunk was opened, etc.

I really want to see how it looks if you take a glass bubble and pump all the air out and then let it fall on the ground in slow motion
