Huge T.I.F. granted by the City of St. Louis, to developer Paul McKee Jr., who bought 1000 lots on the North Side, over five years, fictitiously, creating a wake of blight that increased his accumulation. So far, he, and the City claim eminent domain is NOT on the table. But then, the Alderpersons define "blight" by using the word blight, and swear....its a good thing, and only necessary.... so we can get the funds.

Glad I was there, will be there Friday with my same GREEN shirt on! GO! True, accomodations could have been better, but that's city hall for you. Glad folk cared enough to come out! Complainers, one question, what are your solutions? Too many folk are acting like infants & treating St. Louis like a toy in the middle of the floor that's gone ignored until one child touches & the other says, that's my ragedy toy, leave it alone. SAD!!! The plan may not be perfect, but the best I've seen yet.
